A Feather for Your Pen?

I love embellishing things with feathers. This past fall I made a whole bunch of accessories with feathers. Headbands, bracelets, hair clips, earrings, you name it, it had a feather on it. I decided to put feathers on other things too like glass jars and my friends bridal shower invitations. I think they are so pretty because each one is unique.

Here is one of the things I made. I am currently using it for a pencil holder at work, but it could also be used to hold candles, incense, or even flowers. It was very simple to make.

Tools

Feathers from craft store (you can buy them in a bag for less then $5)

Glass jar- could be salsa or jam jar or dressing bottle, anything glass.

Hot glue gun and a couple glue sticks

All you have to do is glue the feathers on. I would suggest using less colorful feathers and then laying over the more colorful ones. Because they are thin, it will look sparse if you don't do this.
